During the COVID-19 pandemic, we spent a lot of time walking and exploring the local area around Ryton. We discovered a lot of “hidden” history during our exploratory walks and were inspired to record this information online for others to experience and learn more about the area.
Our very first walk, the “Ryton Village Circular Walk“, was created as a way for others to share in this knowledge and explore the local area.
We are actively signposting our “Ryton Village Circular Walk” with direction markers, as permitted by social distancing and appropriate lockdown restrictions.
We hope to extend our walks with more routes to explore additional historical sites as soon as possible.
